Sweet Blessings

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.  “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.  As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”                                                    Isaiah 55:11

This painting ministry is a sweet blessing and truly a gift from the Lord.   I am grateful for what God has done and is doing within this ministry.   I have been busy with custom orders, some side projects and a few different painting projects of my own these past few months. I love to see God use these paintings to minister and bless others, He even blesses me with each one.   I stand in awe of Him and  I am once again reminded of Isaiah 55:8-11, the Lord’s Word will not return to Him empty without Him accomplishing what He desires, His will, His way…not ours.

There is always a message with these paintings and I know for a fact that He will use them and speak to each individual heart that comes into contact with them.  Whatever the impact they have, I know the Lord will use them for His glory.   That is who He is, His love for each one of us is unending. His Word does not return void.  He will go to the ends of the earth for every single one of us and He is pursuing us at all times.

These are a few questions that came to mind as I was writing this.  We can all ask this of ourselves.    Am I slowing down long enough to allow Him to speak and/or minister to my heart in only ways that He can?   Am I allowing Him into the depths of my soul, my heart, to transform me to be more like Him, to be that willing vessel that He can use to further His Kingdom?  Am I willing to go where He calls, to follow His leading?

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”  Isaiah 9:6

My heart and spirit say, “Yes, Lord…I am willing.  Here I am, send me.  Lord, use me in ways that glorify Your name.”

How about you?  Are you willing?

I am not saying it will be easy, it won’t be sometimes but it says in 1 Thessalonians this:

“The One who calls you is faithful, and He                     will do it.”                                                                  1 Thessalonian 5:24

I encourage you to find the time to slow down and turn to Jesus!  You will be blessed with the time you spend with Him.

Just a few of the projects I have been up to these past few months 🙂

I have been amazed by the response I have received since the beginning of all of this.  Thank you doesn’t seem to cut it but I am going to say it anyway.  Thank you for all of your support, encouragement and prayer through it all.

If you are interested in one for yourself or to bless someone else, pop me a message @ inspiredbyjennifer.com or through facebook!  Have a wonderful week!

  1. You are so right, Jennifer. Without margin our lives, how do we respond to God’s call? How can we let His will overshadow ours when we are exhausted from chasing after our personal list of “good works”? Bless you for following His leading and for sharing your gifts with us.
